Our Pure Soy S100 wax is slightly different to the other soy wax blends we have on offer.
This wax is not blended with any other elements besides soy, containing no other wax hardeners and no percentage of other waxes.
This variety is as advertised; pure, premium and natural soy wax. The way we’ve achieved a workable wax with just soy compound is by hydrogenating soya oil
to create wax.
The creamy soy finish from this wax is simply stunning, with an even burn pool, great hot & cold scent throw the Pure Soy S100 wax could be the perfect answer for
those looking for a pure soy wax product.
By hydrogenating a by-product of the soy harvesting process, we’re able to use this thicker and tougher compound to harden and stabilise the natural soy wax
resulting in a 100% natural product that performs consistently like any great wax should.
This very scientific and carefully measured process leaves us with what we believe is the best pure soy wax available on the market.
Pure Soy S100:
- Is made entirely from Soy
- A high fragrance tolerance for a pure soy wax (6-8%)
- Gorgeous creamy soy finish
- Great container adhesion
- Anti-shrinking and frosting properties
- Fantastic oil absorption resulting in amazing hot and cold scent throw
- We believe it is the most stable and most consistent pure soy wax on the market
TESTING
The magic of candle making is in your own testing.

Our recommended wick for Soy Wax is the HTP range, because these wicks have been specially made for such waxes. The HTP wick in made out of all natural fibres and they contain no lead or other harmful metals.
They are easy to use and require no extra work other than a trim before burning. Let no wick go to waste by re-tabbing your offcuts and using them for tealight of votive wicks.

WOODEN WICK HOLDERS

Step 1
Setting up the glassware
Make sure your glassware is completely clean and dry in preparation for candle making. Any residues of wax or water can affect the end product result. Setting up the glassware: Place a round wick stickum on the end of the wick, then press down firmly to secure the wick in the centre on the inside bottom of the glass.
Next, centre the top of the wick using the wick holder and pull gently to straighten the wick, securing it in place with the wooden peg.
Step 2
Melting and pouring the wax
We recommend the double boiler method to melt the wax.
Use one block of soy wax and ensure that the wax reaches a temperature of approximately 75C using the mercury thermometer
Alternatively, use a microwave and microwave safe container (not included) to melt the wax.
Once molten, pour the wax into the 1 litre wax pouring jug.
Step 3
Mixing and pouring the fragrance
Choose one of the fragrance oils, pour it into the molten wax and stir thoroughly using the bamboo stick. Once well mixed, slowly pour the combined wax and fragrance into the medium glasses your prepared earlier.
Be sure to leave approximately 1cm from the top of the glass rim. Now let your candle cool down for a couple of hours.
Step 4
Finishing the candle
Once completely set, remove the wick holder and peg, and then trim the wick to approximately 1cm above the wax.
Please leave your candle to set and harden overnight so it becomes completely solidified.
If you just can’t wait, though, it’s possible to burn these partially set candles for instant enjoyment
Congratulations! Your first homemade soy candles are now ready to burn!
